Concerning the church structure, we are not yet done. We just made a simple framing with trees and

covered it with some tents because we needed a venue to worship from. That building gives us a guarantee of almost 1 1/2 months before it starts raining. We need to replace the tents on the roof with iron sheets and the tents on the walls with timber.

Also Bibles in French and mostly in our local language SWAHILI are very much needed.

Many christians in our church are students and they cannot afford to buy one. If you can help please contact  Pastor Gaby at:  gkndag@yahoo.com  or Michelle Walcott @ Mikale@comcast.net

Below are some pictures of our recent Services last Sunday Aug 1, 2010 including  our Church building in its current phase.

Pray and ask the Lord where you can be of service,

GOMA (NORTH KIVU) MISSION REPORTPORT

The ship departed at 7:30 AM and within six and half hours we were in Goma town. The pastor’s vehicle was having a breakdown, so I used public transport means to get to the church venue. I was hosted in the pastor’s house and I got integrated very quickly. The pastor’s wife and children were loving and very kind to me. The shared the below message with the saints in Thursday overnight meeting and Sunday meeting and we were all blessed.

Message theme: “GREAT THINGS OF THE OTHER SIDE”

Luke 8: 19-21: “Jesus is preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God and His relatives (mother and siblings) come to see Him. Jesus knew that His mission was more than just to familiarizing with His relatives, something which is naturally ordinary but He focused upon the extraordinary; - that is to reach out people beyond His family sphere and make them part of the big family of God.

As our Lord Jesus, we must realize the ordinary in our comfort zone and aim for the extraordinary. God intention for us is to see us excel from glory to glory through the power of the Holy Spirit – 2 Cor. 3:18. He wants us to increase in all things: knowledge of the truth, anointing, wisdom, favor with God and man, good works, prosperity, etc. If you do the same things now and then, obviously you will have the same result. However, when you do a new thing you will certainly obtain a different result and this is applies in all sectors of life.

Luke 8:22 and Mark 4:35: “Jesus makes up His mind to go to the other side of the lake”

He envisioned to exploring the other side. Identifying the ordinaries in your sphere will give you VISION for the extraordinary and the means of transport to the extraordinary is FAITH. It is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

Mark 4: 36-38, “Jesus and His disciples entered the boat and sailed off but in the course of their journey a great windstorm arose and the waves beat into the boat so that it was already filling”. In your journey to the extraordinary at every level you will face waves, pressure which will oppose you but you must be assured of 2 important things:

1. Jesus is in your boat: your faith must be only in Jesus Christ our Lord. You must keep your focus upon Him rather than on the waves.

2. You must increase the pressure inside of you so that it becomes equal or greater than the pressure from outside. The inward man should be constantly and daily renewed; 2 Cor. 4:16.

At every level in every sector of life there is pressure. E.g. when you are jobless you undergo joblessness pressure but when you get employed you obviously start facing the pressure in your work environment. You must increase the pressure within to face the pressure outside.

Mark 4:39: “The apostles called upon Jesus and woke up and rebuked the wind and commanded the sea to be calm”.

As you continue CALLING UPON GOD, He will “wake up” even though He does not slumber or sleep. He will come for your help and perform miracles. He will make your journey to the extraordinary smooth. Submit yourself unto God, resist the devil and he will flee from you – James 4:7.

Mark 5:1-19: “Jesus comes to the other side of the lake, meets the demon possessed man, cast out demons out of him and he got totally delivered”.

In verse 19, the delivered man desired to follow Jesus but He refused him and told him to go home and tell people what GREAT THINGS God has done for him.

When the extraordinary is done, it is marvelous, worthy to tell all people and it glorifies God.

Dear friends and beloved partners,

I do hope this message finds you strong in good health and faith.

I’m writing to update you on the ongoing construction of our church building. As you will see the Lord has enabled us far to do the framing of the concerned building of which size is 9mx9m. The plot that we leased is almost of this the same size (9.5m x 11m).

Now we are at the level of putting irnon sheets, timber, doors and widows. Below are the costs of the needed materials:

- 52 Iron sheets for roofing: 9$x52 = 468$

- 336 pieces of timber for walls:  1.2$ x 336 = 403.2$

- 4 Windows 50 cm x 1m @ = 30$x 4 = 120 $

- One main entrance door of 1.4 m x 2.3 m = 130$

- One small door of 80 cm x 2m = $50

- 10 Kgs of nails: 2$ x10 = 20$

Needless to mention the chairs will still be needed upon completion of the building  Our deepest cry is to see the building just ready for a shelter. We want to see people’s lives changed in this place. Please join us in your fervent prayers for the provision of these noble needs. May the days ahead be filled with the Glory of the Lord for your lives as you seek His face. May the Lord refresh you and cause His face to shine upon you!!!.

We can do ALL things through Christ who is our strength!

Your beloved brother and servant,
